This Privacy Policy applies to the OldRoll mobile application ("the app"). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the OldRoll team.
This policy explains how information is collected, used, shared and protected when you use the OldRoll mobile app. The iOS and Android sections describe the practices for each platform. OldRoll Web has a separate privacy policy.
1. OldRoll for iOS
1.1 Information we collect and how we use it
When you use the app, we may ask you to provide personal information, such as your email address. We use this information to communicate with you and to provide information to you. We may also use it to investigate, prevent or take action regarding unauthorized use of our services. If we use this information for a purpose different from the purpose for which it was collected, we will ask for your consent before that use.
We also collect anonymous, non-personal information, such as your IP address, the type of browser you use, your browser's language, your web request, and the date and time of your request. Such information does not identify you individually. Non-personal information may be used for marketing, auditing, providing or improving our services, and developing new services. We may also use cookies to collect information.
1.2 User metadata
Metadata is usually technical data associated with user-generated content. When you use our services, we will not upload or save user metadata without permission.
The app includes AI-based services, such as face recognition. These services are developed using open data. We do not collect user metadata to develop or improve our algorithms.
In some situations, we may ask you to provide metadata to help us better understand our users. When we need to collect that data, we will clearly explain how it will be used and ask for your permission.
1.3 Information sharing
Except in the circumstances described below, we do not share your personal information with third parties without your permission.
- We may share personal information to provide products or services you have requested. We require those parties to agree to process the information according to our instructions and this policy.
- We may disclose personal information when required by law, regulation or litigation. We may also disclose information if we determine that disclosure is necessary for national security, law enforcement or other issues of public importance.
- If we become involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of some or all of our assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share aggregated, non-personal information with third parties, such as the number of users who searched for a particular term or clicked a particular advertisement.
1.4 Additional security provisions
We and third parties take reasonable measures to prevent the loss, misuse, and unauthorized access to or disclosure of information. For example, some of our services use encryption techniques, such as SSL, to protect personal information. Even with these security measures, we cannot guarantee that your information is completely secure.
We and third parties do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. You understand and accept that the systems and communications networks you use to access our services may fail because of factors beyond our control.
1.5 Changes and personal information requests
This privacy policy may change from time to time. If we make material changes, we will publish the new policy on our website and update its last-updated date.
If you have questions about this policy or need to change your personal information, contact us using the email address under Contact us.

2.3 How information is shared
Service providers. We may work with other businesses whose privacy practices align with ours to provide services such as customer support, analytics, and data storage and management. We provide only the information needed to perform those services on our behalf. Service providers must agree to use reasonable security procedures appropriate to the information involved, and may not use the information other than as we specify.
Advertising partners. Third-party cookies and other tracking tools allow our advertising partners to collect data from your device, which may be used to display advertisements in the app.
Other transfers. We may share information with businesses that control us, that we control, or that are under common control with us. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of our company or transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer information as part of that transaction. If the new entity intends to handle information differently from this policy, you will be given the option to opt out of the transfer at our discretion.

By providing your information, you agree to that transfer, storage or processing. We will do our best to ensure that your information is secured and handled in accordance with this policy and applicable laws.
Retention. We generally keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfill the original purposes of collection, or meet other business purposes, including complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements. Some information may need to be retained for periods required by law, including applicable limitation periods. When personal information is no longer needed for legal or business purposes, it will be deleted or anonymized.
2.5 Your choices and rights
You can manage your use of the app through its settings, including choosing whether certain types of advertisements are displayed.
The laws of your country may provide rights concerning your information, such as access and deletion. For help with settings or questions about your personal data rights in your country of residence, contact us using the email address under Contact us.
2.6 Additional security provisions
Although we work to protect information transmitted through the app, we cannot guarantee its security. You bear the risk of transmitting information through the app.
2.7 Children's privacy
We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. By using our services, you agree that you are at least 13 years old. If we unintentionally obtain personal information from a child under 13, we will remove it from our records.
We recommend that children aged 13 and older obtain permission from a parent before sharing personal information with anyone online.
3. Information security
We take measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. These measures reduce risks but do not provide absolute information security.
