In this agreement, "we", "us" and "our" refer to the OldRoll team. "The app" refers to the OldRoll mobile application, and "the service" refers to its paid membership service. The app may describe paid membership as "Member", "VIP" or "PRO".
To use the service, you must read and comply with this Membership Agreement, the OldRoll Terms of Use and other applicable agreements and rules (together, the "service agreements and rules"). Before activating membership or starting a purchase, read them carefully, particularly the provisions on limitations of liability, applicable law, dispute resolution, and any separate terms for a specific service.
You must understand that this is a paid service and have the legal capacity required for your actions under the laws of your country or region. If you lack that capacity, obtain your guardian's informed consent; you and your guardian bear the resulting responsibilities as required by law. Minors must review this agreement and related terms with a guardian, paying particular attention to the provisions on minors. If you do not have full legal capacity, you must obtain your guardian's consent before using the service.
You must also comply with the laws of the country or region to which you belong or in which you are located when entering into or performing this agreement.
If you disagree with this agreement or any of its terms, stop the membership activation process. By reading and accepting it as prompted on the activation page and completing activation, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted all its terms. This creates a legally binding agreement between you and us, and you become an OldRoll member.
1. Scope and definitions
1.1 This agreement governs your use of the service. By clicking "Agree", "Next", "Confirm Payment" or another confirmation button, using the service, or otherwise indicating acceptance expressly or implicitly, you are deemed to have read and agreed to enter into this agreement.
1.2 This agreement supplements and forms an integral part of the OldRoll Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, this agreement takes precedence for the paid service.
1.3 An "OldRoll member" is a user who has completed registration and login under the service agreements and rules, accepted this agreement, and paid the fees shown on the activation page to obtain membership status. We may change the membership name as the business develops; the name shown on the activation page applies, without affecting your actual rights. "Member" and "you" refer to an OldRoll member in this agreement.
1.4 "Membership benefits" are the special benefits available through OldRoll membership. The purchase page specifies the benefits and is updated periodically. Please check it for the applicable benefits.
1.5 This agreement includes relevant agreements, rules, announcements, additional terms, product requirements, purchase instructions, in-app notices and other service information that we have published or publish in the future. These become effective once officially published and delivered to you appropriately, such as on the purchase page, in app settings or through website announcements. They form an integral part of this agreement and you must comply with them.
2. Paid services and pricing
2.1 The service is available to registered OldRoll users. Throughout activation and use, you must have full legal capacity to hold and exercise civil rights and assume obligations, and be able to enter into and perform this agreement.
2.2 You can purchase membership through our current or future payment channels or another method we specify. You can use the service after confirming and successfully paying the membership fee as prompted and/or completing all membership procedures, and passing our review.
2.3 Membership may include some or all of the following benefits. Available benefits may increase or decrease; the activation page specifies the applicable benefits:
- Access to exclusive features and materials during the service period, as shown on the page.
- Other benefits. We may update or change membership and related services, benefits, features or interfaces, including adding new ones and removing existing ones. You may continue to use the benefits, features or services as available after the change and in accordance with this agreement.
2.4 The service lasts for the period corresponding to the membership fee you select and pay. We stop providing it when that period expires. Switching between subscription plans is currently unsupported. We do not recommend purchasing multiple subscriptions to extend your service period. Apple's policy determines how multiple purchases are handled: either the new subscription replaces the old one at its next renewal, or it takes effect immediately and cancels the existing subscription.
2.5 Membership offers automatic renewal. Before choosing it, carefully read section 3, Subscriptions and automatic renewal, and follow the purchase page instructions. We may add or adjust auto-renewal options and benefits at any time as our business or user needs change. The options and descriptions shown at purchase apply.
2.6 The purchase page shows the fees for each paid service and its benefits. We reserve the right to set prices for OldRoll's paid services. In principle, each account can redeem offers such as a free trial or first-month discount once; later purchases are charged at the regular price. You must pay the fee shown to complete activation.
We may adjust prices as benefits, market conditions, business needs or operations change. Adjustments take effect on the announced date. Benefits and services activated or purchased before that date are unaffected. Renewals, including automatic renewals, and new purchases after the service period expires are subject to the adjusted price.
If the price of benefits included in an auto-renewing service changes, we will notify you appropriately and strive to protect your legitimate rights and interests.
2.6.1 Unless the purchase page or benefit details state otherwise, price descriptions have the following meanings:
- Crossed-out price: A market reference price, guide price or previously displayed sales price determined by us. Regional, timing and market differences mean it may differ from the displayed price when you purchase or use the service. It is for reference only.
- Price without a strikethrough: The displayed selling price or current price, regardless of how it is described. Promotions, coupons or points may affect the transaction price. The amount shown at checkout is the price you pay.
- Promotional or discounted price: Unless stated otherwise, a discount based on the crossed-out price, reference price or guide price.
- Pricing errors: Caching, page update delays or other uncertainties may cause an incorrect display. The price at checkout applies. If you notice an error, contact us promptly so we can correct it and you can complete your purchase.
2.6.2 Prices and discounts may differ between platforms because of development environments, platform policies, promotional strategies or other factors. Refer to the price shown in the app when you purchase.
2.7 Paid services purchased in OldRoll are linked to the Apple ID you use in the App Store. This allows you to use purchased benefits on other devices you own and access the service more securely.
2.8 Membership benefits are digital goods. After purchase and payment, they generally cannot be transferred or refunded, except where required by law, provided for in this agreement, or where significant defects in OldRoll's services or features prevent normal use of the purchased service or benefits.
Before purchasing, including an auto-renewing service, check the service and benefits, price, duration and applicable usage rules. Carefully confirm the account for which you are making the purchase.
2.9 Platform rules prevent membership from being shared between Apple and Android accounts.
3. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
3.1 Billing cycles. We currently offer monthly and annual subscriptions, billed monthly and annually respectively. We may add or adjust auto-renewal options based on members' needs.
3.2 How automatic renewal works
- Automatic renewal helps prevent an interruption to your membership caused by an overlooked renewal or other reasons. You authorize the App Store to charge the next billing cycle's fee to your iTunes account, prepaid account or a third-party payment account linked to your Apple membership account (together, your "account") when membership is about to expire. We cannot charge your account ourselves. Charges follow Apple's official automatic renewal rules and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- The App Store collects the next cycle's fee under that authorization. You must ensure it can successfully charge your account. You are responsible for renewal failures caused by insufficient funds, and the App Store may suspend or terminate the corresponding membership benefits and services.
- The App Store charges your account 24 hours before each billing cycle expires, including a free trial or initial discount period, to extend membership. Timing follows Apple's official UTC time zone.
3.3 Renewal period and price changes
- A successful renewal during your current membership extends it from the existing expiry date by the billing period you selected. For example, a monthly plan adds one month.
- We may change renewal cycles or fees for business or market reasons and announce changes on the relevant pages. If the price changes before or during renewal, the currently effective price published on the page applies. Your authorization for automatic App Store charges remains irrevocable unless you actively and explicitly cancel automatic renewal.
3.4 Cancelling automatic renewal
- You may cancel automatic renewal. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current service period ends; otherwise, you are deemed to continue authorizing renewal.
- After purchase, you can manage automatic renewal on the purchase page. You can also cancel on your iPhone: open Settings → Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases → Media & Purchases → View Account → Account Settings → Subscriptions, then select OldRoll and cancel the subscription.
- Your authorization remains valid until you terminate this service. The App Store will not refund charges made under that authorization.
3.5 Refund requests. Membership is a digital product paid for before the service is provided. The fee is the purchase price, not a prepayment, deposit, down payment or stored-value card balance. A successful membership purchase is treated as use of the product.
Under Apple's rules, we cannot process or review refunds. Your iOS payment goes directly to Apple. If you have special reasons for requesting a refund, submit a request for Apple's review at reportaproblem.apple.com.
3.6 Ending automatic renewal. We may stop offering automatic renewal for operational policy reasons. We will announce this in the app before doing so. Your purchased service ends at the expiry of the current billing cycle.
4. Using your membership
4.1 Membership and its benefits are for your personal use only. Linking a large number of devices is considered abnormal use. We limit both the number of devices that can sign in to one member account and the number that can be online simultaneously.
Without our written consent, you may not give, lend, rent, transfer, sell or otherwise allow others to use the account or its membership services or benefits. If we discover or reasonably believe that the user is not the original account registrant, we may immediately suspend or terminate service to that account under this agreement to protect its security.
You must properly use and safeguard your account and password. If they are disclosed, lost or stolen through no fault of ours, we may restrict your login or use, or interrupt or terminate the service, depending on your excessive usage.
4.2 If you violate these rules or misuse the service, we may cancel your membership and benefits, and you may not request a refund of the membership fees paid. You are responsible for the misuse and its consequences, including losses. We may seek compensation for losses you cause us. This applies to:
- Obtaining membership through theft, exploiting system vulnerabilities, or unofficial or unauthorized channels or methods not affiliated with us. Examples include robots, spiders, crawlers, screen-scraping tools, or unauthorized purchases, rentals, loans, sharing or transfers. It also includes maliciously exploiting or damaging membership activities.
- Using the service for profit or unlawful gain, transferring or assigning the service or benefits in any form, or lending them to others.
- Illegally changing an account's service period, spending amount or transaction status, or using a purchased service unlawfully or for an unlawful purpose.
- Cracking, modifying, reverse-engineering, destroying or tampering with security measures or technologies that protect members' rights, or helping others do so.
- Participating in membership activities contrary to their rules or the organizer's interests. Participation and benefits obtained by exploiting system vulnerabilities, rule defects, configuration errors or membership status are not protected. You must follow activity rules and act lawfully.
- Obtaining benefits for purposes other than personal consumption or use.
- Other conduct that violates laws, regulations, the principle of good faith, or the service agreements and rules.
4.3 If you activate membership improperly or in bad faith, such as by maliciously bypassing the normal process, we may reject your application or terminate the activated service. We may cancel or suspend some or all linked or acquired benefits, and you may not request a refund of fees already paid, if any.
4.4 To help you use your membership fully and avoid missing benefits, we may send membership information through messages, notifications or other channels.
5. Suspension, termination and changes
5.1 The service may be suspended or terminated in the following circumstances:
- You choose to suspend or terminate it, including a purchased paid service, let membership expire without renewal, or close your user account.
- We suspend or terminate it because you breach this agreement.
- A national or other relevant government regulator requires it, or force majeure occurs.
- Laws or regulations otherwise require suspension or termination.
5.2 After activation, you may not request a partial or full refund if you voluntarily cancel the service, give up membership benefits or end your eligibility, or if we cancel your account or terminate membership under applicable laws, this agreement or other service agreements and rules.
5.3 Once this agreement ends, you cannot require us to continue providing services or performing other obligations. Termination does not affect either party's rights or obligations arising before termination. If third-party claims, administrative penalties or similar consequences arise for reasons attributable to you, you must compensate us for resulting losses and/or expenses.
5.4 As the internet develops, this agreement cannot cover every right and obligation relating to the service or every future need. We may amend it in response to changes in laws, business needs or the protection of users' rights. We will announce changes using the procedures and methods required by law. If you disagree, you may stop using the service. Continuing to use it after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
6. Limitations of liability
6.1 We provide the service as current technology and conditions allow. We will make every effort to provide the service and ensure continuity and security. We cannot always foresee or prevent technical or other risks. Force majeure, network conditions, defects in third-party services or websites, and other causes may interrupt the service, prevent normal use, or cause other losses and risks.
6.2 In keeping with proportionality, fairness and reasonableness, if the service is interrupted or unavailable for reasons attributable to us, the compensation you may receive does not exceed the total service fees actually collected by the App Store under this agreement.
6.3 Cross-regional server access. If you access the service from a region different from where you downloaded, registered or primarily used the app, requests may involve servers in another region. Cross-regional data transmission may cause longer processing times or network delays.
We will continue to optimize performance, but current network and technical conditions may result in different processing efficiency and stability from local server access. Processing performance will typically return to normal when you return to the region corresponding to the server.
7. Use by minors
7.1 If you are below the legal age of adulthood, read this agreement with your guardian's supervision and guidance, and obtain their consent before using a paid service.
7.2 If you violate laws, regulations or this agreement, you and your guardian bear the resulting legal responsibilities and consequences as required by law.
7.3 Minors should learn to use the internet appropriately, within reasonable limits and under a guardian's supervision, to avoid becoming addicted to online activities and develop good habits.
7.4 Guidance for guardians
- Guide and supervise your child's registration and use of OldRoll and this service. If your child applies to register an OldRoll account, we may treat the application as having your consent.
- Your child may encounter paid features. Keep your payment devices, accounts and passwords secure to prevent purchases through your OldRoll account without your consent.
8. Miscellaneous
8.1 If a provision is repealed, invalid or unenforceable, it is severable and does not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
8.2 The formation, validity, performance, interpretation and resolution of disputes under this agreement are governed by the laws and regulations of your country or region. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable because it conflicts with those laws, it must be interpreted as closely as possible to this agreement's original intent. The remaining provisions continue in full force.
8.3 If this agreement conflicts with other service agreements or rules on the same matter, this agreement takes precedence. Other service agreements and rules govern matters it does not cover. If none of them covers a matter, you and we will enter into a separate agreement.
8.4 Headings are for ease of reading and do not affect the meaning or interpretation of this agreement.
